New Ad: "Count All The Votes" in Florida And Michigan

Just ahead of tomorrow's meeting of the Democratic National Committee's rules committee to decide how to count the delegates from Florida and Michigan – states that were punished by the DNC for moving their primaries forward on the calendar – a group headed by Hillary Clinton donors has begin running an ad calling for the full delegations from both states to be seated.

The New York Times reports that the group, Count The Votes Cast, formed a political action committee this week. Their 30-second spot, running in Washington, D.C. and on CNN, shows five founding members of the group talking straight into the camera.

“We are Democrats," they say in the spot. "We care about what happens in November. We urge the Democratic National Committee to seat all of the delegates from Florida and Michigan. There’s no question about the validity of votes, it’s whether they’ll count. After 2000, how can any Democrat support votes not being counted? Count all the votes. Not to do so will fracture the party and bring disaster in November.”

They are right!! If the DNC has to punish somebody for breaking the rules, punish the people who actually made the decision to hold the primaries early - not the citizens who exercised their right to vote!!!!
The actions and decisions of the DNC put them on the same level (extremely low) as the Republicans in 2000 who drew out the Florida dimpled chad thing until the Supreme Court could hand the election to the guy who DID NOT win the popular vote. The DNC is doing the same thing again, except to fellow Democrats.
They just lost all of my money, all of my support, and my vote in November. . . unless, of course, they repent and go forth and sin no more.

The meeting is tomorrow.
What is this noise about?

people have nothing to do?
No family to take care?

GO HOME and take care of YOUR OWN business.

I hate people goping out of rules and making chaos.
Go and do something useful: move the grass, read a book.
clintons are over.
We did prevent America from clintons.
Go home

Thanks a lot Obama. Twice private parties came forth to pay for a re-vote to avoid disenfranchising voters, but you blocked it both times.
Democrats need to win in Fl and Mi to win the White House in November. If we don''t count their votes as they were cast-millions of voters will not be there for us in the general. We could have avoided this mess if you were truly interested in the citizens of this country, and not your own ambition-you are just another dirty politician.

Hillary wants all MI delegates seated but none to go to Obama. Now there''s a potential world-leader with a sense of fair-play and a knack for compromise! NOT!

Hillary, the Queen of Spin and a Legend in Her Own Mind!

Florida and Michigan are two completely different scenarios.

Florida will count and will have all their delegates seated with half votes. Any Florida voter who doesn''t like this, should also be picketing the Republicans. They are using this same formula.

As for Michigan, it''s ridiculous that Hillary is demanding Obama receive 0 delegates and 0 votes from Michigan. Does Hillary really think any respectable leader would make this claim?

The great irony is if Florida or Michigan fights the decision of half votes for all delegates and demands full delegates, they must also fight the Republican decision.

If they did not stand up and fight against the Republican decision, they clearly are only trying to steal the election for Hillary.

I can''t wait for Hillary to reject the decision. On Monday, Obama will be in Michigan and will make a speech about how these voters did not care about the Republican decision.

Hillary, I commend your desire to WIN AT ANY COST (to the party, nation, progress on racial and gender harmony, regard for rules/truth and all that boring stuff).

Such TENACITY (or is it AUDACITY) is what makes true American Dream-ers the talk of the world.

Show them that no party has the monopoly on believing in never having an EXIT STRATEGY - and marching on ... no matter what the collateral damage!

Go Hillary! Give ''em hell! And by ''em - I mean us.

I just cannot see voting for a candidate who will not permit all the votes cast in Michigan or Florida to be counted and holds the threat of a lawsuit over the DNC to win the nomination. Why doesn''t he do what is fair? Obama could waive the right to sue the DNC in one piece of paper. If he wins the nomination because of the threat of a lawsuit to the DNC, then he is using the old familiar Bush/Cheney fear monger tactic to win. Who wants to vote for a guy like that? I thought we were getting rid of those guys...

There will be a huge write-in movement for Hillary Clinton if she is cheated out of the nomination, whether Hillary Clinton wants it or not.

Hmmmm - How would Hillary Clinton be "cheated" out of the nomination? Cheated by the majority of Americans who did not vote for her? Very strange. Their "popular vote" argument does not hold water for a few reasons:

1. They are not counting Caucus states in their tally. No popular votes are being assigned for those who voted in caucuses which Senator Obama won overwhelmingly.

2. The Clinton camp is assuming that not one single voter in Michigan would have voted for Senator Obama.

3. All of the candidates agreed to the DNC ruling to strip MI and FL of their delegates. To change the rules after the game has been played because the rules do not suit you under the banner of "standing up for voter''s rights" is disingenuous and intellectually dishonest.

I am so glad Senator Clinton reserved the right to take the issues of the Florida and Michigan delegates to the Credentials Committee at the Convention. She is awesome!

Obama has such a thin resume and makes so many dumb mistakes. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.

How many black voters will hate that Obama resigned on May 31, 2008 from his church of 20 years in Chicago?

Do they think he will come back once he has the nomination?

Obama is just another fast talking politician.

Actions speak louder than words. We are tired of all the division in the Dem. Party. And than turn around and say they will not vote for Obama. But at the same time, saying that they are Loyal Dem. When is enough is enough?

I observed a lot of passion calling for party unity amongst Democrats during the DNC rules committee proceedings. It seems that every one understands the situation our country has come into as a result of the Conservative Agenda.

It is paramount that the Democratic Party gains a real majority in the US Senate, and maintains the majority in the House of Representatives. The Presidency would be a great step forward for the better interests of the Average American People, but not necessarily the vital gemstone piece of the governmental puzzle.

Unity and continuity with Democratic Supporters is the only path to vote for change in course of our government, and to hold corruption accountable to the American People. The only factor I%u2019ve witnessed in opposition to party unity is Hillary Clinton and her supporters.
