McCain Speaks Out Against Anti-Obama Ad

(CBS)
From CBS News’ Andante Higgins:
John McCain says the North Carolina Republican Party’s anti-Barack Obama ad is not the message of the GOP or his campaign. “I have pledged to conduct a respectful campaign and I’ve urged time after time various entities within the Republican Party to also do that,” McCain said. “I sent them an e-mail again today asking them to pull down that ad. As is the obvious I can’t dictate to them but I want to be the candidate of everybody.”
The television commercial shows images and controversial comments from Obama’s former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. The narrator says, “He's just too extreme for North Carolina.”
Obama said he expects the ad to be taken down, although some versions of it have already appeared online. “My understanding is that the RNC [Republican National Committee] and John McCain have both said that the ad is inappropriate,” said Obama. “I take them at their word and I assume that if John McCain thinks that it’s an inappropriate ad that he can get them to pull it down since he’s their nominee and standard bearer.”
McCain's plea doesn't appear to have had much of an effect. The North Carolina GOP announced today that they've made a statewide television buy to run the 30-second ad during 6pm newscasts starting Monday.

You might also recall that John Kerry called on the unaffiliated Moveon to remove their accurate ads about Bush''s national guard record. You didn''t see any back slapping for that. All McCain''s base did was use that to focus entirely on Kerry''s war record.
Dupes or fiends.
Well Our Lafayette Journal Courier ran a half page story saying That Her old man was the one in charge when that happenned
Well one mor big lie with nothing done or said about it nationally
Well the *** wins again
I can''t believe you rubes are falling for this AGAIN.
Just what is it with you? I know, you''''re running out of cash and are trying to impress your Jewish Contributors so you can clean them out of a few more million Right?
You were against the war before you joined the Bush Brigade & voted for it. You were against NAFTA before you supported it. You wanted to rescue our Troops in Mogandishu before you abandoned them. You were against the Rwandan Genocide but in their time of need allowed it to happen. 35 years in Washington, it is time to take your $110,000,000 and go. While you''ve pulled off the CLINTON AMERICAN SCHEME the rest of us have been working for the AMERICAN DREAM that NAFTA sent overseas.
You been making some pretty outrageous statements since you downed a few shots with Rendell. It is important that you don''t take alcohol with your medications. Remember that your suppose to be looking for ways to bring Our Troops Home. Not to Incite the whole Muslim World. Time to Chill out! You''re so unstable & irresponsible. Sooo Sad!

- Well if he can''t even control his own party, what kind of a president will he make? Sounds to me like " Jim Crow coming home to roost" in NC... The belly of the south.
