Clinton Campaign Releases New "3 AM" Ad
It's 3 am again.
The Clinton campaign today released what chief strategist Mark Penn just characterized during a conference call with reporters as "the second in what's known as the 3 am advertisements."
(The first is here.)
"It’s 3 am, and your children are safe and asleep," an announcer says in the spot, which is set to run in Pennsylvania. "But there’s a phone ringing in the White House and this time the crisis is economic. Home foreclosures mounting, markets teetering. John McCain just said the government shouldn’t take any real action on the housing crisis, he’d let the phone keep ringing. Hillary Clinton has a plan to protect our homes, create jobs. It’s 3 am, time for a president who’s ready."
Watch it:
The first so-called "3 am ad" released by the Clinton camp focused on the risks of "a dangerous world," stressing the importance of having a president who is "tested and ready to lead." The focus on the economy in this new ad echoes Clinton's recent campaign-trail focus on economic issues.
The new ad also marks the first time a Democratic ad in this campaign cycle has mentioned John McCain, according to Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson. Wolfson called the differences between Clinton and McCain on the economy "profound and substantial," while Penn said the new ad highlights the fact that while Clinton "has a plan to end the crisis," McCain does not.
On the conference call, Penn also stressed polls released today that show Clinton faring better than Obama in matchups with McCain in Florida and Ohio. (In the Sunshine State, Clinton leads McCain by two points, while Obama trails by nine; in Ohio, Clinton leads by nine while Obama leads by only one.)
There is a "dramatic difference in the electability of Sen. Clinton in states that have been critical," Penn said.
"The polls continue to build the case that she is the most electable Democrat against John McCain," he added.

more lies from miss piggy herself
She didn%u2019t know about the FALN pardons.
%u2022 She didn%u2019t know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted.
%u2022 Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.
%u2022 She didn%u2019t know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so.
%u2022 She didn%u2019t know that the Peter Paul fundraiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost $700,000 more than she reported it had.
%u2022 She opposed NAFTA at the time.
%u2022 She was instrumental in the Irish peace process.
%u2022 She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.
%u2022 She played a role in the %u201990s economic recovery.
%u2022 The billing records showed up on their own.
%u2022 She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.
%u2022 She was always a Yankees fan.
%u2022 She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they voted for her 1,400-12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about the pardons).
%u2022 She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there).
The last word shoule be changed so the last sentence reads "I am Hillary Clinton and I approve thie ''LIE''".
First she denies that she was pro NAFTA. White House schedules have now been released, showing she held several high profile meetings to endorse NAFTA.
Second she tells outright lies about her bullet dodging trip to Bosnia.
Hillarys problem is that voters know how easily the Clintons lie. Next she will say well, it depends on how you define "sniper fire" and "ran" and then %u201CI DID NOT HAVE MILITARY RELATIONS WITH THAT SNIPER%u201D
Misspeaking is one thing, repeating it over and over makes it a FLAT LIE !!
Clinton simply cannot help herself.
She tells a big lie when a small lie will do. And she tells a small lie when the truth will do.
Look at the trouble the country is in because of the lies of President Bush so God help America if this woman ever gets elected.
She cannot win the Democratic nomination without causing a civil war in the Democratic Party. While comparing herself to, and praising, McCain while undermining Obama, make it appear that she is willing to do just that -- split the party in two. Seriously, can you imagine McCain saying that that he had a lifetime of experience, Hillary had a lifetime of experience, but Romney didn''t? That would never happen. It''s unacceptable. And it has to stop.
I get that it sucks to lose. But, it happens. Hillary, drop out with your head up high. Unless of course you''re ducking sniper fire again
America doesn''t want a president clad in an apron with a cake mixing bowl in tow answering the Red Phone at 3am in the Oval Office. Sorry ''bout your lil'' pipe dream about a women becoming president (smirk)
In response to your question, while the Republican nomination process is all wrapped up, we are hoping that PA. voters send lil'' missy all the way back to her kitchen stove in NY, so we can rally around the Obama shuffle that will steamroll OLD man McCain and the Republicans. You might want to make sure he packs his "blankie" for all those naps he needs. Don''t forget the geritol either.
She might think the phone ringing was actually a snipper attack
win''s and Blkpresident is the first too be drafted
It''s time for her to drop out but because she feels "entitled" she can''t let go. Finances are what wins nominations/elections. She is broke and the only difficulty Obama has with money is finding a way to deal with it as fast as it is coming in. Face it folks - THIS RACE IS - Obama can rasie serious cash - she can''t - superdelegates will flock to the money - politicans always have and always will... Is that Roy Orbison I hear in the background -..it''s over, it''s over, it''s over......
