Clinton to Discuss Aging Infrastructure
PHILADELPHIA -Hillary Clinton continues campaigning in Pennsylvania today as part of her "Solutions For the American Economy Tour," or as some in her campaign have referred to it, the "Econopalooza Tour." Clinton is expected to focus on the country's aging infrastructure, according a campaign source.
In several speeches here, Clinton has mentioned the importance of replacing old bridges and roads, primarily due to the fact that earlier this month in Philadelphia, Interstate 95 was closed down due to cracks in a concrete support pillar. The heavily traveled road was shut down for two days causing gridlock in the city.
Clinton will unveil a plan where she says she'll put Americans back to work by repairing America's infrastructure. Although Clinton has admitted that economic issues facing the country dont always grab headlines, it is the number one issue on the minds of Americans.
And perhaps Clinton summed it up best when on her third stop on the economic tour at a rally in Indianapolis over the weekend she said, "I think this election is about jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs." Plain and simple.
