McCain Suggests Democrats Are Naive on Iraq

(CBS)
From CBS News' Ryan Corsaro:

John McCain said today Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are "dead wrong" about how to handle the situation in Iraq and pondered if it was "naivete" on their part for wanting to withdraw troops from the region.

"I don't care what anyone says," said McCain at an event in Chula Vista, Calif. "I've seen the results on the ground...and I support General Petraeus."

McCain held a town hall meeting with veterans after his return from Iraq and several overseas stops last week.

He welcomed the crowd saying Iraq was "a conflict that is as difficult as any we have faced as a nation."

He quoted Osama Bin Laden's audio recording released last week, in which Bin Laden called Iraq the "greatest opportunity and the biggest task" for the Mujahadeen to fight against the West.

In regards to that statement, McCain said it was the first time that he and General David Petraeus had agreed with Osama Bin laden.

McCain also added that he thinks a specific withdrawal timeline, as both Democratic candidates have proposed, will cause "chaos and genocide" in Iraq, where he says the battle centers in Mosul.

McCain said he plans to give "big speeches" about the economy in the near future, addressing the recent woes on Wall Street, sub-prime mortgages, and the Federal Reserve's response.

He talked briefly about his visit to Europe, where he met with leaders in Britain and France.

"We now have a pro-American president of France," McCain said of Nicolas Sarkozy, adding that he believes it shows that anything can happen "if you live long enough." He called Sarkozy a "great guy."

McCain is set to appear on CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" on April Fool's Day.

America,

There''s really only one candidate you can trust to manage the Iraq War and improve our economy. Hint: he doesn''t fall asleep during the State of the Union Address; and, his foreign policy won''t be donning an apron and baking a batch of brownies for our terrorist enemies like a ''lil woman.

"He quoted Osama Bin Laden''s audio recording released last week, in which Bin Laden called Iraq the "greatest opportunity and the biggest task" for the Mujahadeen to fight against the West."

In other words, our invasion of Iraq was like a great big wet kiss to Bin Laden. If Iraq is indeed an "opportunity" for Bin Laden, we have only ourselves to blame since we created this opportunity in the first place.

But McCain''s clownish second grade temper tantrum understanding of foreign policy must be taken seriously, while those who think the Iraq War was a completely boneheaded move are naive.

We only have to thank the British and Jack Frost for collaborating on false intelligence.

Jack Frost the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom forged a Californian''s PH.d dissertation about Saddam''s ability to produce WMD''s.

This is why we went to war...

We had no other "evidence" and this was formerly known in the UK as the "Downing Street Memo" that

was transcribed into the "Niger Memo." God Bless the Queen.

pansycritter,

Are you a "typical white person"? Would you prefer having OLD man McCain? Would you prefer having a lil woman, whose idea of foreign policy is baking a batch of cookies and brownies for our terrorist enemies? After PA., the second coming of Geraldine Ferraro is sent packing all the way back to her kitchen stove. Somebody may want to tell her to dust off her apron so it''s ready for use in 28 days. The audacity of this soccer mom!

is today%u2019s current run up of costs (barrowed) spent on the Republican Party%u2019s occupation of Iraq.

There were no Weapons of Mass Destruction, the Bush Whitehouse paid the John Rendon Group to plant false propaganda in foreign news outlets to drum up the notion that Saddam Hussein (an evil dictator) was preparing an attack on the United States.

4,000 troops have been officially labeled as on the battle field casualties of this %u201Cwar%u201D /invasion and occupation. But, the Bush (GOP) Whitehouse has formulated battle field casualties as soldiers being shot from the front, and/or blown up by an incendiary device. Soldiers that are recovered from the battle field alive and expire later in transport, or at a hospital are not counted in the overall casualties.

The Republican Conservative Party has always wanted a Military Industrial Economy whereas Public Funds would be diverted to Private Contractors that produce weapons and wares of war. The wealth will never be shared because the production of Americans will be destroyed.

Iraq is just the beginning of the Conservative Perpetual War Economy, there were not enough troops on the ground from the outset and our troops were not supplied with the necessary equipment nor a plan for victory. We are all naove when it comes to the real plan of the Conservative Republican Party and their wartime economy and power.

McCain quoted Osama Bin Laden''s audio recording released last week.

McCain is working on such a shoestring budget for his campaign that he resorts to quoting terrorist''s points of view to substantiate his knowledge of the circumstances.

Soon McCain will be saying that Osama Bin Laden is supported by Iran and we have to invade to go get him.

Vice President Richard Cheney was recently dispatched to Saudi Arabia to confront the issue of rising fuel costs to the American People. Cheney after directly leaving Saudi Arabia, we found that the Saudis are preparing for nuclear fall out in the event that there is a missile attack on Iran%u2019s nuclear energy facilities.

Yet another naive notation that Richard Cheney and the Oil immersed Republican Bush Administration would do anything other then drive the price per barrel of Oil higher by threatening more war on another oil rich producing nation.

Oil was under $50.00 per barrel before the invasion of Iraq, and we would all continue to be naive to allow the Republicans to force the price of oil to over $200.00 per barrel. A vote for John McCain and any Republican in 2008 would be casting a vote for higher energy prices (along with everything else) and, more war.

Thank you John McCain--I agree with you-- they are so naive. Only a naive person would confuse the enemy for two whole days. Only a naive person would change their position on torture--it''s really who we are as Americans--Right? I really am starting to believe that this guy has beginning stages Alzheimers.

John McCain plays to a slightly different constituency than Hillary and Barack. I don''t think Hillary or Barack are naive, rather they see a different approach to combating the terroist threat.
Voters in general are naive if they can''t accept the fact that Persian and Arab Terroists are serious about installing a world wide caliphate, and American Arabs given a choise would support terroists efforts.
