Rise Of The Evangelical Democrats

Think all evangelicals vote Republican? Think again.

A Zogby International poll released this week, commissioned by Faith in Public Life and the Center for American Progress Action Fund, notes that "one in three white evangelical voters in Missouri and Tennessee participated in Democratic primaries."

And there's more stereotype busting where that came from: "Majorities of both Democratic and Republican evangelical voters want a broader issue agenda that goes beyond abortion and same-sex marriage to include ending poverty, protecting the environment, and tackling HIV/AIDS – rather than sticking to the more limited agenda of opposing abortion and same-sex marriage."

The poll found that Democratic evangelicals in both states favored Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama – 54 percent to 37 percent in Missouri and 78 percent to 12 percent in Tennessee.

160,000 white evangelicals voted in Missouri's Democratic primary – a figure larger than the number of under-30 voters and equal to the number of over-65 voters, as the Christian Post points out.

Faith in Public Life has been taking pollsters to task for not asking Democratic primary voters if they are evangelical or born-again Christians, a question generally asked of Republican primary voters.

"In the 2008 election, media organizations and pollsters are relying on an outdated script by treating evangelicals as a monolithic voting bloc," the group said in a release.

The smoke filled cigar room of the old establishment puppets are trying to rule this country as the know it alls.

They don''t like Mike Huckabee''s charm, charisma and optimistic attidude. They feel threatened that they will lose control of their power hungry system.

They walk around pretending to care about the ordinary citizen, but in reality only care about their power and money.

Don''t be tricked into thinking they are for you. They have a attitude problem, they think the common ordinary American''s are too stupid and they must control them.

The American people must rally around the charisma of Mike Huckabee. He deeply cares about ordinary Americans.

He wants to "share" his power with you, not "show" his power like the other power hungry establishments want to do.

It''s time to show the establishments that the American people can think for themselves. Let''s rally around Mike Huckabee, a honest trustworthy and humble man.

You''re a dolt...please show me the passage in the bible that says "and Christ looked unto them and said ''DIE YOU DIRTY ***'',and the people were enlightened by his words."

You are no more a real follower of christ and his teachings than Stalin was a true follower of socialism. you use it for your own selfish ends. F**k you and f**k Christians like you who use the bible to justify their own bigotry. Christ would be SOOO proud of your enlightened world view...***.

Religion:
1. To the ignorant, it is considered to be true.
2. To the wise, it is considered to be a lie.
3. To those who would rule (or otherwise control, exploit, fleece), it is considered to be useful.

I''m not at all surprised that it took so long for some of these people to finally wise up to what Bush''s "faith based" agenda really is.

That is a JOKE! Whoever supports abortion or is pro homosexual is NOT Christ-like at all. Both are contrary to the heart of God and distress the Lord. The demoncrats have long embraced immorality contrary to instructions from God (-commandments-). And, what is an "evangelical"? It is a term contrived by the press and equated to terrorism in a special edition of US News & World Report in the 3rd Qtr of 2007. The mag defined it as "anyone sharing the gospel." Point is: Don''t allow yourself to be defined by the press... who are swaying public opinion for goals we rarely understand. Vote ethics. Period. Don''t be controlled by people you have never met!

Most of the Democratic Party is Christians, obviously, but even formerly conservative evangelicals, I think, have figured out they''re just getting used by the Republican Party to get them to canvas and vote. All they get is some constitutional amendments that will never pass. Then, when a real live evangelical like Huckabee comes along, they FREAK OUT.

I do believe in miracles.
