Romney To Go Up With "Significant" Ad Buy

LOS ANGELES -- In an effort to slow down John McCain's momentum, Mitt Romney will flood the airwaves in California and other February 5th states with campaign advertisements.
The decision to go forward with the ad purchase was made this morning, a day after the Romney campaign made headlines for initially holding off on going back on the air after Romney's disappointing loss in the Florida primary.
The new paid message has a seven-figure price tag.
For strategic reasons, the Romney campaign will not divulge the media markets in which the ads will run, but the purchase will target areas of the February 5th map where they believe Romney can make inroads among conservatives looking to rally around an alternative to the frontrunner McCain.
