Romney To Go On Leno Show After Mocking Huckabee For Doing The Same

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

RENO, NEV. -- When Mike Huckabee decided to spend the night before the Iowa caucuses in Los Angeles to appear on The Tonight Show, Mitt Romney was not impressed.

"Frankly my focus is on the caucuses here in Iowa," Romney told reporters in Bettendorf Iowa on January 2nd. "I think Mike is more concerned about the caucus in Los Angeles."

But a day before the Nevada caucuses and South Carolina primary, Romney is flying out to Burbank this afternoon to be Jay Leno's guest on tonight's program.

"I figure it's the only way I can be in South Carolina and Nevada at the same time," Romney said to reporters at a press conference in Reno, Nevada. "But in reality, Mike Huckabee did it before Iowa, and he won, so maybe it'll do the same thing for me."

Romney did spend the morning speaking to voters in Elko and Reno, Nevada.
