3 Days From The Caucuses, Romney Likes Where He Stands

CLINTON, IOWA -- Standing on a chair and dressed in a blue sweater and khakis, Mitt Romney reflected on how far his campaign has come since he first started stumping in Iowa.

“When I got going in this campaign, I think five or six percent of folks in Iowa had heard of me and thought they might support me, and now it looks like I’m in a pretty good position to take this whole thing,” Romney said in front of a crowd of about 70 people at Happy Joe’s restaurant.

While Romney’s message was entirely positive this morning, the former Massachusetts governor has been engaged in a harsh battle over the airwaves with his main opponent in Iowa, Mike Huckabee.

The Romney campaign says it will release another ad today, just three days before the Iowa caucuses kick off the 2008 voting season. This time, the campaign says, the message will be entirely positive.

“It’s been a real effort, and we’re gonna have a real celebration on Thursday evening,” Romney said.

Romney has thus far demonstrated a real depth of knowledge and diplomacy. He seems to have a solid grasp on key issues and I would trust and feel comfortable having him as our president.

After considering all of the presidential candidates and their strengths, Romney comes through as the top candidate. Overall, I feel Romney is the best voice and face for America.

Mitt Romney is an able, intelligent, proven leader. His all around experience come from academics (Law and MBA degrees from Harvard %u2013 *** Laude), private business (CEO), voluntary service (2002 Winter Olympics Chairman), public life (Governor), a successful family man, one-wife husband, father and grand-father. This campaign is about bringing a positive change to our great nation. Mitt Romney stands for a better economy, a stronger military, and stronger family values. The liberal mainstream media often tries to tarnish his impeccable record but his record speaks for itself. He will do what he says he will do. He will turn around Washington. He has gained my respect and my vote. Go Mitt!!

The dollar slid across the board on Friday as data showing a 9 percent decline in sales of new U.S. homes last month heightened concern about the economy, putting the greenback on track for its worst week in more than a year.
The housing report, which was weaker than economists had expected, also bolstered the case for more Federal Reserve interest rate cuts in 2008. Earlier this week, the S&P/Case-Shiller index showed a record decline in U.S. home prices in October.

The equity through falling house prices - and the money because we are DEBASING OUR CURRENCY. That low fed rate you''re reading about gets created by printing money and lending it to people. With more money, the money YOU have is worth LESS. So your money is worth less and your property is worth less - where can you turn to keep ahead of inflation? I think you BETTER turn to Dr. Paul. I think Romney and Ron Paul would make a great team. Romney knows how to turn failing enterprises around and is persuasive enough to get battling, opposing sides to work together in a win-win manner. Romney knows how to get the job done -- by actually considering opposing viewpoints and using the good! Imagine if Congress did that instead of engaging in a constant pissing contest...? Paul is also a statesman of exemplary character.

When Republicans start believing liberal news papers and news stations that is sad. If Huckabee or McCain got the nomination do you think they will be as generous as they are now to these two. I know they won''t. Librals are fighting there hardest to get the weakest canidates to be nominated. Have you noticed now that Romney is leading they don''t talk to much about his lead.

Iowa voters are very smart folks, they admire those with integrity and honesty. Iowa voters trust Mike Huckabee because he is consistently displaying those values.

Iowa voters have honor and integrity, they will not allow Mitt Romney on the other hand to buy them with his gobs of personal money. Iowans can see right thru Mitt Romney and how phony he is.

If the New Hampshire newspaper (near the state Mitt Romney is from) calls him a phony too, then Mitt Romney is in serious trouble. Both the Heartland and Coast to Coast know he is a phony.

If you havent had the chance to read an excellent book yet, I totally recommend "From Hope to Higher Ground" that Mike Huckabee wrote. It is a super inspiring book. Mike is like no other candidate out there, he is truly the people''s president. He is determined to bring this country up. What a great role model for society.

Mike Huckabee is the most level headed, balanced person out there. He is at the top of his game, ready to lead all to higher ground.
