Romney Jokes With His “Running Mate”

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

EARLY, IOWA -- Mitt Romney was speaking to about 75 voters at a restaurant in Early, Iowa, when an older gentleman with thin wisps of white hair snuck up beside him.

Romney appeared a bit startled. He shook the man’s hand and said, “This is my candidate for vice president. This is actually John McCain. You’ve got his same haircut, and I couldn’t resist.”

During the Q and A session, a man in the audience asked Governor Romney, “What are you going to do about environmentalists? Are you afraid to go up against the environmentalists?”

“You know, I’m not afraid to go up against anybody,” Romney said. “Look at me, I’m going up against John McCain and Rudy Giuliani and all these guys. If I can go up against them, I can go up against just some little environmentalists.”

Romney then changed his tone a bit.

“But I have to tell you, I believe in keeping the environment clean and I believe in having a healthy planet, but I believe there are some extreme environmentalists who take their positions so far that they sacrifice the needs of humanity,” he said.

Romney said that the U.S. needs to get serious about drilling for oil domestically and expanding coal-burning plants that can sequester carbon dioxide.

Mitt Romney is the Republican Howard Dean!!! Read all about it!

After the Iowa debate yesterday Mitt Romney stopped in Marion, Iowa to give a speech at Linn-Mar High School. He said the following:

%u201CAnd I%u2019m convinced the world will remember as well because you%u2019re going to do something which people don%u2019t expect, which is give me a victory,%u201D Romney said. %u201CAnd then I%u2019m going to New Hampshire where I%u2019m pretty solidly in the lead in New Hampshire, and I%u2019m gonna be in Nevada, and I%u2019m gonna win Nevada, and I%u2019m gonna be in Wyoming, and I%u2019ll win that one and Michigan. And we%u2019re gonna do pretty *** well%u2014that%u2019s at least what I plan."

.... Yahhh Hip Ha!!!

Everybody is reading all about this now. Mitt Romney is Howard Dean all over again. The media and the Democrats will now play this over and over and over and over.

This is what brought down Howard Dean and now is bringing down Mitt Romney. Republicans don''t need another Howard Dean.

MITT ROMNEY IS SO AWESOME . . . he''s kind of like Huckabee, but with experience, success, intelligence, and a graduate education. He''s also a lot like Giuliani, but with honesty, integrity, hair, and a wife and children who aren''t embarrased to support their dad.
