Can He Really Take Away Congress' Health Care?

(CBS)
From CBS News' Aaron Lewis:

BEDFORD, N.H. -- John Edwards just finished speaking to an overflowing crowd at the home of Anthony Peluso.

If there was any question as to whether voters pay attention to TV ads, I've noticed that Edwards is asked at almost every New Hampshire stop about his ad vowing to take away health care from Congress if they don't pass universal healthcare.

"Can you really do that?" they wonder.

Edwards responds every time that he has veto power over the budget (including Congress' healthcare). But he also says that if he submits legislation with this measure, he's sure Democrats would support it. The intent is to identify and single out Republicans who vote against it. He argues that he could make a very strong case with those congressmen's constituents that they are more concerned about their health care than the people they serve.

The point, Edwards adds, is not to take health care coverage from anyone. Instead, his goal is to secure coverage for everyone in America.

NO! How incompetent.

The only thing that is broken in health care is the cost of health care and no one is addressing this problem. The government caused the problem with health care cost crises in America by over socializing (with mandates) medicine to the extent it is not completive.

I love Edwards Healthcare commercial and the idea behind it. It is absolutely briliant! Finally we have a candidate that gets how to actually use the bully pulpit. I can just see him dogging all the Congresscritters who would dare vote to deny Americans health insurance while voting to keep their own. That would be one helluva show watching the American people and their president working together to change America.
