Shelter in place lifted after train derailment in Fort Worth

No injuries in Fort Worth train derailment

The shelter in place issued for residents after a train derailment in Fort Worth has been lifted, authorities confirmed Sunday afternoon.

According to the Fort Worth Fire Department, the incident happened near the 5000 block of Vickery.

Officials said nine cars are involved, and at least three are leaking carbon dioxide. Due to the leak, crews had residents in the area shelter in place as a precaution.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
