COPPELL (AP) - Retail gasoline prices in Texas and nationwide have declined an average 3 cents per gallon this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump statewide was $1.82 per gallon. The U.S. average was $2.01 per gallon.

Amarillo has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at $1.68 per gallon. The association survey found El Paso drivers paying the most statewide at an average $1.87 per gallon.

AAA officials say demand for gasoline typically declines during the winter months and prices at the pump also tend to move lower.
