PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - A single-engine plane made an emergency hard landing in Plano late Sunday morning.

According to officials, the single-engine aircraft went crashing through a fence in the 6300 block of Douglas Street after taking off from the municipal airport.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says that the pilot of the Mooney M20 was trying to go around for another try after an aborted landing and lost control of the aircraft.

According to Plano Police, the pilot was not injured and there were no injuries reported from the crash site.

The plane had been traveling from Lubbock to the Air Park-Dallas Airport in Collin County.
