Ndamukong Suh Wins Appeal, Will Play Sunday Against Cowboys
DALLAS, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) -- Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will be available for Sunday's NFL Wild Card game in Dallas after the Pro Bowler won the appeal of his one-game suspension Tuesday.
Ted Cottrell, the hearing officer in the appeal, has reduced the discipline to a $70,000 fine.
Suh was given the one-game suspension on Monday for stepping on Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
According to the NFL, Suh was fined $30,000 in 2012 for kicking then-Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin. Since 2010, the All-Pro has been fined seven times for player-safety violations. In total, Suh has been fined $286,875 over the course of his 5-year career.
Considered by many to be one of the 'dirtiest players in the NFL' -- Suh served a two-game suspension in 2011 after he stomped on the arm of then-Packers offensive lineman.
