Motorcyclist Killed In Irving Crash

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) -- A man driving a motorcycle in Irving was killed Sunday night after losing control and falling more than 60 feet.

According to DPS, a group of three motorcycles was traveling at a high rate of speed on George Bush Turnpike near Interstate-635.

One of the motorcyclists lost control on the elevated bridge that begins at I-635. The 37-year-old driver hit the right retaining wall and flipped over the railing to the ground below.

He was taken to Medical Center at Las Colinas, where he was pronounced dead.

The Dallas County medical examiner is withholding the biker's identity until the family is notified.
