ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Two men working in a trench were burned by a fire from a gas line leak, but they were treated at the scene and did not have to go to the hospital according to the Arlington Fire Department.

As of 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Atmos Energy crews were on the scene at Verona Court and Crowley Road making repairs.

Around 8:00 p.m. CBS11 got word the gas had been shut off and people were allowed back to their homes, but the streets are still closed to thru traffic.

The four-inch gas line was damaged by a contractor unrelated to Atmos Energy, according to Atmos Energy.
