GRANBURY (CBSDFW.COM) - A little more than an hour after Atmos workers evacuated residents from their hones because of gas leak.

The problem was centered in the 100 block of South Ables. At least a portion of the residential neighborhood was evacuated as a precaution.

The leak was discovered before 10 a.m. Tuesday and Granbury Police Department Deputy Chief Alan Hines said Atmos workers allowed residents to safely return to their homes around 11 a.m.

The leak was repaired and no injuries were reported.

A little more than 24 hours earlier, a house explosion rocked a neighborhood in Waxahachie. Investigators have yet to determine what triggered the blast, but a gas leak is being considered as a possible cause. Two people remain hospitalized from that explosion.
