Another foggy morning in store for North Texas before warm weather returns
The fog was very slow to leave in our eastern counties Monday morning. Highs there stayed in the 60s. Meanwhile, to the west where the morning sun started the warmup earlier, it got into the 80s.
We are expecting another round of fog Tuesday morning. A dense fog advisory has been issued for half of North Texas, and a First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Tuesday morning.
Once the fog clears, another spectacular winter day is in store, even warmer than Monday. It's the same story on Wednesday before a cold front sweeps in to cool us down a bit.
We have some light-to-moderate rain in the forecast with this front. The rain shows up in the evening and overnight.
The rain will be gone by the start of Thursday. Highs are right back into the 70s by the weekend.
We are getting spring temperatures in the last week of winter. What shows up after March 1, the start of meteorological spring, is some rain. A pair of upper air disturbances brings us some good rain chances on Sunday and Tuesday.
