North Texas skies clear up after rainy Wednesday morning

A rain-free forecast is ahead for North Texas

After a soggy morning for much of North Texas, rain has cleared to the south and east for the most part, and clouds will work to break through the rest of the evening.

Following the passage of the cold front, cooler and more fall-like temperatures will settle in briefly, dropping our highs back to the middle 80s as we round out the workweek.

As high pressure builds across the region, our forecast remains rain-free and mostly sunny for a stretch.

The first day of the Texas State Fair will be comfortable and right near normal. Humidity also remains comfortable.

A few clouds build as we round out the weekend and head into the start of next week, but we remain dry, and temperatures start a warming trend as we get through the middle of next week.
