DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - There are few details this afternoon regarding a vehicle pursuit that began in Sanger and ended just north of Dallas on I-35E.

As Chopper 11 arrived on the scene the vehicle was smoking and came to a stop on the freeway.

The suspect appeared to resist a bit when officers and a canine officer approached the vehicle to apprehend the suspect.

After the suspect was removed from the vehicle he was placed on the passenger side of the vehicle away from traffic where he remained laying still on the ground.

The suspect was moved to an ambulance that arrived on scene shortly after.

The chase started after Sanger Police tried to pull the suspect's car over and he wouldn't stop.

Officers used spike strips to stop the vehicle.  At one point the suspect started throwing things out of the window according to Sanger Police.
