Lovely Weather! People Take Advantage Along Kelly Drive
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The unseasonably warm weather we're having in the Delaware Valley is giving us a chance to break free from winter hibernation and enjoy the outdoors.
That's exactly what people were doing along the Kelly Drive Wednesday evening. Bikers, runners and walkers…all out in droves.
They tell KYW Newsradio it's great getting back outside:
"It definitely feels really good to enjoy the weather and not be running on the treadmill."
"We got out of work early, so we figured we'd take advantage of it and come around the drive and do some exercising and enjoy the weather and the people."
"We're going to go for a nice leisurely run then probably go get some drinks at one of the bars, sit outside."
Many say they hope this weather hangs around, but for now they'll enjoy it while it lasts:
"This is perfect, you couldn't ask for better. It feels like summer out here. I mean it's just beautiful, you couldn't ask for a better March."
Some even admit they plan on playing hooky from work and school so they can soak up the sun with friends and family.
