Overnight storms possible in western Minnesota; isolated rain Monday in metro

A few isolated storms will fire later Sunday evening across western Minnesota. Some storms could make it east toward the Twin Cities by dawn.

Chances for severe storms are low, but there is a marginal risk for wind and hail in the far western part of the state.

Monday will bring chances for isolated showers and storms in the morning and afternoon, but it won't be a washout by any means. Highs will climb into the mid 80s with the heat index near 90.

Tuesday will be another hot and humid one with highs in the upper 80s, and Wednesday will kick off a possible three-day storm streak.

Highs will drop to the 70s to end the work week, and will fall into the 60s next weekend.
