Mild weekend ahead in the Twin Cities with highs in the 50s

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report for Minnesota from Nov. 21, 2025

Sunday will be a Top 10 Weather Day as high temperatures hit the 50s this weekend.

There will be a little wind on Saturday, but both days will be cooperative to get outdoor holiday decorations up.

High pressure overhead was expected to bring lots of sunshine to the Twin Cities to wrap up the work week.

Friday morning temperatures were in the 20s and 30s, with afternoon highs in the mid-40s.

Clouds increase Monday with the metro's next chance for rain arriving late Monday into Tuesday, but it doesn't look like it will cause many problems for holiday travel.

Gusty northwest winds return Tuesday, bringing in much colder weather for the rest of the week.

There is uncertainty about any snow showers accompanying the cold Tuesday into Wednesday.

Highs will struggle to reach the low 30s on Wednesday, and will stay in the 20s for Thanksgiving and beyond.

The pattern also turns active after Thanksgiving with several systems that could bring the first measurable snow of the season.

There is still a lot of time to iron out the details, so stay tuned, but return travel could be a little messy.
