Frost, freeze threats kick off workweek in Twin Cities

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report for Minnesota on May 4, 2026

Expect dry and quiet weather this week in the Twin Cities, with more frost and freeze threats ahead.

There will be daily mixes of clouds and sun through the week, with only two small chances for rain at this point: a sprinkle Thursday afternoon/evening, and again Saturday afternoon/evening.

The week will start out with several cold nights, with lows in the 20s and 30s each of the next several mornings, and a widespread frost and freeze threat Tuesday night.

Highs will be in the 50s through midweek before rising into the 60s and 70s by the end of the week and weekend — where they should be this time of year.
