Storm risk emerging for Chicago on Tuesday

Severe weather gone, but rain showers return

CHICAGO (CBS) — Other than an isolated shower or storm, Tuesday evening will be mainly dry. 

Overnight, it'll be a mostly clear sky and lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Wednesday's forecast includes late-day showers and more widespread rain and storms on Wednesday night.

A few storms could be substantial, especially south of I-80.

It is breezy, cooler, and wet for Thursday, with highs in the 50s.

Things will dry out Friday before additional shower chances return this weekend. 

Tonight: An isolated shower this evening, then mostly clear overnight. Low 55.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with late-day rain and storm chances. Storms are likely at night. High 76.

Thursday: Much cooler and cloudy with periods of rain. High 58.
