Metra Electric delays after train hits pedestrian near McCormick Place

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metra Electric train near McCormick Place on Chicago's Near South Side Monday morning.

Train No. 308 struck the pedestrian during the morning rush.

Metra said two tracks were released for train movement, but outbound trains were operating with extensive delays and inbound trains remained stopped near McCormick Place.
