"Operational issue" lead to multiple BNSF trains canceled, Metra says

Multiple Meta BNSF trains canceled due to staffing issues

Multiple Metra BNSF trains were canceled on Christmas Eve due to an "operational incident," the rail agency announced. 

The impacted trains include BNSF trains inbound 2026, 2028, and 2036, and outbound 2029, 2037, and 2041.

According to Metra, staffing shortages have led to the cancellations for Wednesday evening. 

Metra is currently running on a reduced schedule for Christmas Eve.
