Scientists edit genes inside the body using CRISPR

For the first time, scientists have used the gene-editing tool known as CRISPR inside a patient. The groundbreaking procedure was performed in Oregon. Dr. Eric Pierce, a professor of ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, joined CBSN to discuss the breakthrough.
