Google sells Motorola smartphone unit
After bleeding red ink, Google is unloading a business it bought about two years ago. The Internet giant is selling its Motorola smartphone business to Lenovo. Keep in mind Google bought Motorola Mobility for $12 billion. Lenovo in the meantime, may be making a play in the smartphone space to take on the likes of Apple.
