Iran's president says Trump's White House is "afflicted by mental retardation"
Iran is lashing out at the U.S. over new financial pressure, saying there will be no diplomatic end to the standoff. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called new U.S. sanctions “outrageous and idiotic” Tuesday morning. A spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry said the measures equal a “permanent closure” for diplomacy. After Iran shot down a U.S. drone last week, President Trump signed an executive order Monday targeting Iran’s supreme leader for the first time.
