Man, dog die following Martinez house fire
Two people were hospitalized Thursday night following a house fire in Martinez, fire officials said.
The fire broke out about 7:41 p.m. in the 4300 block of Arthur Road.
A man taken to the hospital later died. A dog also died in the fire. A woman was taken to the hospital.
The fire was extinguished within 17 minutes. Fire officials said the blaze is under investigation.
