Music legend and J Records head Clive Davis, right, came to the Tower Records store in New York's Greenwich Village just before midnight on May 1, 2006, to offer 1,000 donuts to the huge throng of devoted Pearl Jam fans, including some who camped out on the streets for more than 48 hours, to buy the group's new album at the opening midnight sale. It was reported to be the largest midnight sale in Tower's history.
