Nineteen fast food chains will now offer healthier kid meals that feature more fruits and vegetables and less salt, sugar and fat. All the restaurants will now have at least one menu item of no more than 600 calories and a side dish of 200 calories or less. At least 15,000 restaurants will participate.

Au Bon Pain will offer a variety of options, including a grilled chicken sandwich, half tuna and cheddar sandwich, half turkey and Swiss sandwich, an egg white and cheddar breakfast sandwich and grapes.
Chili's new healthy kids options are all about chicken. The restaurant will offer kids a grilled chicken platter with broccoli, a grilled chicken platter with celery, a grilled chicken platter with mandarin oranges, a grilled chicken sandwich, a pineapple side dish and special request corn-on-the-cob.
Silver Diner features a kid menu with bison sliders and vegetables, teriyaki salmon, turkey sliders with strawberries, a special request grilled fish taco, and eggbeaters, strawberries and multigrain toast.
ZPizza has choices like two slices of curry chicken and yam rustica pizza and half a Caesar chicken salad. Other choices include vegan pizza (2 slices) on wheat crust and a mixed greens side salad, and a California pizza (2 slices) and a California salad.
