Caryn Kelley says she heard an intruder and immediately grabbed her loaded .38 caliber revolver from under the bed and removed it from the holster.
But the person Kelley thought was an "intruder"
turned out to be her boyfriend, Phillip Peatross, who had returned to her home announced.
The couple had been arguing
earlier that night about their relationship.
Police found this .38 caliber Charter Arms revolver inside of Caryn Kelley’s bedroom
on July 27, 2011.
This .9mm gun was also recovered inside Caryn Kelley’s bedroom and marked as
evidence in the case.
This photograph taken by the Orlando Police Department shows Caryn
Kelley literally had Phillip Peatross' blood on her hands. She told police varying stories about how Peatross was shot.
She was charged with first-degree murder.
