5 dead in apparent murder-suicide at Ohio home
Inside an Ohio home on Nov. 12, 2012 authorities found the bodies of three children and two adults who died in what police believe was a murder-suicide. The bodies of 5-year-old Madalyn Hayes, 7-year-old Logan Hayes and 10-year-old Paige Hayes were found along with their 54-year-old grandmother, Sandy Ford, and their 32-year-old uncle Andy Ford inside a pickup truck with two hoses pumping gas fumes through the car's rear window. A coroner ruled that the family died of carbon monoxide poisoning. The children had reportedly been living with Sandy Ford for the past three years after their mother, Mandy Ford, asked her to care for them while she managed another son with apparent behavior problems. A week before their deaths, the children moved back in with their mother and the grandmother reportedly felt they would be better of with her.
