Your spectacular Friday Music Round-up before Halloween weekend

(CBS News) "Hello, Internet! Are you ready to rock?" The weekend before Halloween is almost here, which means all of the fun costume parties are about to kick off (along with the approaching Hurricane Sandy, or "Frankenstorm", which I am trying not to think about right now). And it's also Friday, which means it's time for your weekly Music Round-up here on The Feed. We kick it off with a brand-new music video for the M83's song "Steve McQueen" to get you moving and grooving.

This latest music video from M83 was directed by Balthazar Auxietre and Sylvain Derosne, and is a total burst of adrenaline that lets your mind, body and soul know that the weekend has arrived in the form of some truly melodic music and trippy visuals. An excellent piece of visual poetry that is just one more reason why I love this band so much.

And next up in our musical voyage, we actually have an exclusive item for you in the form of the very talented, "geek-culture" musician Jonathan Coulton (or simply JoCo, as many know him). Yesterday we posted up two songs he performed for The Feed in our studio, and today we have another one ready for you, along with an interview (and bonus item) on our sister SciTech section you should make sure to check out. Go ahead and take a listen to "Code Monkey" below.

Coulton will actually be going on tour in November, and I would highly recommend seeing him live if he happens to be dropping in on your town. You can check out his tour dates and more info about the singer by clicking here to go to his website. And on the subject of all things geeky and cool, I for one totally geeked out when I saw our next performer. Watch a 10-year-old girl by the name of Pau blow you away with her drum cover performance of Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You". And try to keep reminding yourself while you're watching that this girl is only 10...

Next up, we turn our focus from drumming prodigies towards the more aesthetic, auditory and artistic in the form of this new music video below for Revolver's song "Let's Get Together" directed by Tim and Joe.  Go ahead and check it out (and make sure to keep watching the light).

And, as we always do with the Friday Music Round-up here on The Feed, our last item is something a bit different from the norm. A few years ago, Ronald Jenkees took the Internet by storm with a series of very unique music videos posted to YouTube. And then he just suddenly disappeared. Now, about four years later, he's finally back with the song "Red Lemonade Remixed" at the bottom.  I, for one, will say that it's really wonderful to see you back on the Internet, Ronald!

And on that note, I hope you all enjoyed this week's Friday music round-up, and have a wonderful Halloween weekend full of fun and frights. A big special thanks goes out to Jonathan Coulton for coming here to our studios to perform some great music live for The Feed. And definitely make sure to keep coming back to The Feed for all your viral (and music) video needs!
