Will *NSYNC really reunite at the MTV VMAs?

New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and now *NSYNC?

There has been no shortage of boy band reunions over the past few years -- and many signs are pointing to yet another.

On Tuesday, the New York Post's Page Six reported that *NSYNC is expected to reunite at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

While this news hasn't been confirmed yet, we do know that the boy band's biggest breakout star, Justin Timberlake, will be on handnot only to perform, but also to accept the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. He alsotops the nominations, alongside Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, with six nods. And now sources tell the Post that J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick will at one point join the "Take Back the Night" singer onstage for a reunion performance. Us Weekly reports that producers are "trying to make it happen" and that it's "coming together."

If you're a little fuzzy on your *NSYNC history, here's a quick refresher course: The group formed in Orlando, Fla., in 1995 and went on to release its self-titled debut album two years later. "No Strings Attached" followed in 2000, spawning a few hits including "It's Gonna Be Me." The group's third album, "Celebrity," arrived in 2001. Yes, that long ago. A year later, *NSYNC announced a hiatus -- and the last time the band graced the small screen was in 2003 at the Grammy Awards.

Needless to say, the guys may have said "Bye Bye Bye," but they definitely left the door open for a potential reunion at some point. It's been a decade -- maybe now's the time?
