What to expect from the 2016 MTV Movie Awards

Hey movie fans, MTV Movie Awards co-hosts Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson have quite a show in store for you. And considering this year marks the awards' 25th outing, it's going to be pretty special.

While Hart and Johnson ham it up for the crowd and cameras, there will also be exclusive first looks at upcoming films like "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and "Suicide Squad," plus musical performances by Ariana Grande and Halsey.

Presenters for the evening will include Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Kendrick Lamar, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Olivia Munn and Gigi Hadid, among others.

Among the biggest honors of the night, Will Smith will be celebrated with the Generation award, MTV's version of the lifetime achievement award, "given to an artist who has shown us a variety of impressive roles, a personal and professional flair and of course, an awesome level of talent." Smith has previously won 17 MTV Movie Awards and even hosted the ceremony himself in 1994.

Melissa McCarthy will also be honored, marking the first time a woman has won the Comedic Genius Award.
