Watch: Sam Smith takes on Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know"
Sam Smith is making people stand up and listen.
Music lovers are buzzing over the 22-year-old British singer's rendition of Whitney Houston's 1985 hit, "How Will I Know." Part of the song could recently be heard on "Grey's Anatomy," and now there's a full-length version from Smith's studio visit to SiriusXM.
During the performance, Smith slows down the Houston classic, showing off extraordinary vocal chops in a refreshing new take on the song. "How Will I Know," which appeared on Houston's self-titled debut album, became her second No. 1 single.
Excitement has been building over Smith, who started getting noticed with his hit "Stay With Me," which appears on his newly released debut album. "I'm beyond words with happiness right now," he recently noted on his website. "My first ever album is finally here. Thank you to all my incredible fans who have helped me get here. Please listen and love, 'In The Lonely Hour.'"
