Warrant: NFL ex-player Sharper admitted non-consensual sex

An arrest warrant out of New Orleans alleges that ex-NFL player Darren Sharper admitted to witnesses that he had sex with two women there "without their knowledge or permission."

On. Feb 21, Sharper, 38, pleaded not guilty to multiple rape and drug charges in Los Angeles. He was released on $500,000 bail. But on Feb. 28, after the Louisiana warrant was issued, Sharper was taken into custody and has spent the last week in a Los Angeles jail. He is scheduled to appear in court today where a judge is expected to decide whether he should be sent to Louisiana to face charges, according to CBS affiliate WWLTV.

According to the warrant issued by the New Orleans Police Department on Feb. 27, two women told detectives that on the night of Sept. 23, 2013, "Darren Sharper and Erik Nunez together had sexual intercourse with them while they were under the influence of an unknown substance."

Nunez, 26, is reportedly an acquaintance of Sharper's. Both men are accused of aggravated rape in the incident.

The two women, identified in the warrant as "Victim 1" and "Victim 2," both told police that they "awoke from a stupor" to find Sharper "completely nude on top of her." The victims each said they were "disoriented and believed Sharper was having sexual intercourse" with them, but that "at no time did [they] consent to sexual intercourse with Darren Sharper."

The warrant goes on to state that an acquaintance arrived at the "scene of the incident" and observed both Sharper and Nunez in their boxer shorts.

"Through further investigation by the Detectives it was learned that Nunez and Sharper admitted to other known witnesses that he and Sharper had vaginal and/or oral sex with victims #1 and #2 without their knowledge or permission," reads the warrant.

Sharper, a five-time Pro-Bowl player whose NFL career ended in 2010, is under investigation for sexual assault in five states, including Nevada, Florida and Arizona, along with California and Louisiana. He has been charged with seven felonies in California: two counts of rape by use of drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

According to a Miami Beach police report, Sharper is accused of raping an intoxicated woman he met at a Miami Beach club last fall and then took home to his condo. And in Arizona, two women told police they had been "drugged and forced to have sex" with Sharper in Nov. 2013.
