VIDEO: SUV struck by METRO train in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas - METRO Police in Houston released dramatic surveillance video showing a METRO train colliding with an SUV.

The driver tried to beat the train and went around the crossing gates on Wednesday, police say, according to CBS affiliate KHOU.

The train smashed the vehicle, but remarkably everyone inside the SUV survived.

Two adults and two children were taken to the hospital, according to the station.

Police said they will cite the vehicle's driver, Raunel Arreola-Moreno, for running a red light and for going around the crossing gates.
