Victoria and David Beckham reportedly worth $271 million

(CBS) Soccer star David Beckham and his wife, fashion designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, reportedly made 20 million pounds (about $30 million) this year, putting their net worth at 165 million pounds (about $271 million).

The figures put the couple among the stars on the U.K.'s Sunday Times Rich List, according to reports.

British tabloid Metro credits the couple's earnings to David's hefty paycheck from the LA Galaxy, his deal with Samsung to be the brand's global ambassador for the 2012 London Olympics and wife Victoria's successful fashion line.

Other stars on the Rich List, according to The Hollywood Reporter, include Simon Cowell (worth $329 million), Paul McCartney ($814 million) and Elton John ($321 million).
