Usher's son hospitalized after pool accident

Usher's 5-year-old has been hospitalized after an accident at a pool.

Usher Raymond V was taken to a hospital Monday afternoon after the accident, which happened at the singer's home, People reports.

According to TMZ, the child tried to retrieve a toy in a pool drain when his arm got stuck. His aunt and a maid both tried to rescue him but were unsuccessful.

The website reports that two men working in the home were able to free the boy. He was given CPR and taken to an Atlanta hospital, where Usher and ex-wife Tameka Foster are said to be at his side.

"Tameka got a call from one of Usher's staff members and rushed to the hospital," a source told People. "She almost collapsed when she heard the news."

Foster has two sons with Usher (their youngest son, Naviyd, is 4). Last July, her 11-year-old son, Kile Glover, died after a personal watercraft crashed into his raft on Georgia's Lake Lanier.
