WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. United goalkeeper Steve Cronin has a broken left wrist and will be sidelined for several weeks.

Cronin was hurt during practice Tuesday at training camp in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and will not require surgery.

Cronin is in his second stint with United, who acquired him in a trade with Portland in December.

United also announced Thursday that midfielder Junior Carreiro sprained his left ankle in a preseason match and will undergo an MRI upon his return to Washington.
