(CBS) The stars of the new CBS drama "Unforgettable" took a break from solving crimes on Wednesday night to take in a little baseball.

Actors Poppy Montgomery, Dylan Walsh and Michael Gaston made an appearance at Citi Field during the New York Mets' batting practice, prior to the team's game against the Washington Nationals.

The actors got a batting lesson from Mets outfielder Angel Pagan and chatted with third baseman David Wright and outfielder Jason Bay during the visit.

"Unforgettable" stars Montgomery as Carrie Wells, a former police detective with a rare medical condition that gives her a flawless memory (except, of course, for the details surrounding her sister's murder).

She reunites with her ex-boyfriend and former partner (Walsh) to consult on a case, and ultimately ends up permanently joining his unit solving homicides. Gaston stars as another detective on the homicide squad.

The Mets lost on Wednesday, but "Unforgettable" will be looking for a home run of its own when it premieres on Sept. 20 at 10 p.m.
