Tim McGraw to headline a "Superstar Summer Night" TV special on CBS

Tim McGraw will headline an all-star concert special, taping April 8 in Las Vegas and airing at a later date on CBS.

Dubbed "ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night," the two-hour star-studded concert event will feature performances, collaborations and surprise guests from film and TV. It will take place a night after the 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards are held in Vegas.

All proceeds will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music.

"I hope I can help turn the fans on to some of the best live music that will be on the road this summer and really put a spotlight on the ones I know they won't want to miss," McGraw said in a statement. "I also feel a responsibility to help raise some money and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives and all the good work they do. They supported me last summer with our HomeFront program and helped me give away a house to a veteran in need in every market we played in, so I'm excited to get some of my friends together and repay the favor."

McGraw will release his new album, "Two Lanes of Freedom," on Feb. 5. A tour is expected later this year.
