Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter call it quits
Another Hollywood couple has called it quits.
Director Tim Burton and actress Helena Bonham Carter split up earlier this year, reports People.
Carter's rep told the magazine that the couple of 13 years "separated amicably" and "have continued to be friends and co-parent their children."
Burton, 56, and Carter, 48, met while filming "Planet of the Apes" in 2001. They never married but have two children together: son Billy, 11, and daughter Nell, 7. Johnny Depp is the godfather of the former couple's children.
Burton's been busy doing press for his new movie, "Big Eyes" starring Amy Adams, which hits theaters on Christmas Day. While doing promotion for the film, Burton revealed he's making headway on a possible new "Beetlejuice" movie.
