The Perfect Valentine's Day

The Early Show and specialty home furnishings retailer Williams-Sonoma joined forces to help make your Valentine's Day as romantic as it can be.

They combined on a three-part series, "The Perfect Valentine's Day," loaded with suggestions to make your holiday perfect. The segments originated from the Williams-Sonoma flagship store at Columbus Circle in New York City.

They were hosted by The Early Show co-anchor Hannah Storm. She was joined by culinary expert Tori Ritchie, a San Francisco-based food writer, cooking teacher and host of the long-running "Ultimate Kitchens" on the Food Network. Her latest cookbook is "Party Appetizers: Small Bites, Big Flavors" (Chronicle Books, Fall 2004).

On Wednesday, Feb. 9, you got great ideas for breakfast in bed. Ritchie served up recipes for healthy, relatively easy items to prepare for your loved one. Recipes included mango smoothies, ham and egg breakfast tarts, lemon-ricotta pancakes with a beautiful rasberry sauce, and broiled grapefruit.

Thursday, Feb. 10, featured

. They included chocolate-cherry muffins, Valentine sugar cookies, mixed berry Bundt cake, and chewy Valentine chip cookies.

And the series was capped with a segment on Friday, Feb. 11, about

. Recipes will include creamy asparagus soup with scallops, beef tenderloin with bordelaise sauce, and chocolate fondant.
