Film fans can't wait to catch "Catching Fire." The sequel to last year's "The Hunger Games" topped Fandango's list of the most anticipated blockbusters of 2013.

The movie ticketing service surveyed more than 2,000 film fans last week about upcoming films and stars, and revealed the results Tuesday in its 2013 Hot List.

Coming in behind "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" on the blockbusters list are "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," "Iron Man 3," "Star Trek into Darkness" and "The Great Gatsby."

"From the elegance of 'The Great Gatsby' to the amped up action of 'Iron Man 3,' 2013 will be loaded with blockbuster originals, sequels and reboots, giving moviegoers of all tastes a bounty of options at the box office this year," said Fandango chief correspondent Dave Karger.

Other Hot List categories included biggest breakout stars, the sexiest man and woman in the movies, most anticipated villain and most-anticipated apocalyptic film.

Moviegoers apparently aren't the only ones excited about "The Hunger Games" sequel, which is set to debut in November - Forbes reports that BTIG analyst Richard Greenfield also thinks "Catching Fire" could be the biggest film of the year.
